Mount Olive (21-9) went in order to start off the game and opened it up for Saint Augustine's (11-16) to take the lead in the second. A lead-off double put the Falcons in scoring position to start the second. Darryl Hardy-Washington grounded out and brought home Garcia for the game's first run.

The Trojans answered in the top of the third and Bretton Gouthro reached on an error by the shortstop. DeAndre Allen used a sacrifice bunt to move Gouthro to second and he stole third on the next pitch. Zak Orrison grounded out to short and picked up the RBI as Gouthro came in to tie the game.

Rob Shipman also reached on an error to load the bases. Brett Lang was hit by a pitch and walked in the first run of the inning. Lang added an insurance run in the seventh with an RBI-single to left to score Koehler.

He moved to second on a passed ball and Darrell Langston walked. Timothy Carter reached on an error and the bases were loaded. After a strikeout, Corey Brassington drew a walk to bring in a run. One run was all the Falcons could get as the door was shut on the last two out and Mount Olive took the game.

Mount Olive will hit the road this weekend as the Trojans head to Due West, S.C. to take on Erskine College in a three game series to begin Friday April 3. First pitch is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Friday.
