Box Score University of Mount Olive fell to Emmanuel College 25-21, 25-23, 25-16 in Conference Carolinas women's volleyball Saturday afternoon in Franklin Springs, Ga. Alysha Burnett and Samantha Winfield combined for 23 digs in the match.
Sydney Kanupp and Burnett both had a team high five kills in the match to lead Mount Olive (4-19 Overall, 3-10 Conference Carolinas). Britni Johnson led with two service aces and Burnett added one service ace.
Mount Olive returns home for the final home match of the regular season Tuesday. The Trojans will host arch rival Barton in Kornegay Arena at 7 p.m. Mount Olive was defeated in straight sets in Wilson, N.C. on October 24.
