Mount Olive stayed within a goal for nearly 40 minutes before nationally 19th-ranked Limestone pulled away for a 5-0 victory over the Trojans in Conference Carolinas men's soccer Saturday at Gaffney, S.C. The match marked the first time the Trojans have been shut out this season.

The loss drops the Trojans to 1-10-0 overall and 1-4-0 in conference play. Limestone is 8-2-0 and 5-0-0.

Sean Lockett had two of Mount Olive's five shots. Three Trojan goalkeepers faced 22 Limestone shots.

Mount Olive steps out of conference Tuesday as the Trojans play host to Chowan. Match time is 4 p.m. at Amon Field.
