A recent graduate from the University of North Carolina Wilmington with experience in Division I intercollegiate athletics, Taylor Woodard enters her first year as an athletic trainer at Mount Olive.
Woodard will oversee athletic training for the following programs this upcoming year: men's soccer, women's volleyball, men's basketball, men's volleyball, and softball.
Prior to Mount Olive, she served two years as a graduate assistant at UNCW School of Applied Health and Human Services. Woodard worked directly with the Assistant Director of Quality Assurance and managed social media platforms. Additionally, she worked clinical rotations with multiple UNCW intercollegiate programs, including women's golf, women's soccer, softball, women's beach volleyball, and women's volleyball.
Woodard worked with the NC State football program handling evaluations, meetings with doctors, and treatment/rehab plans in 2023. She also served clinical rotations at New Hanover County Schools (E.A. Laney and North Brunswick H.S.), while also working at Emerge Orthopedics.
In 2020-21, Woodard was a fitness attendant/supervisor at the UNCW Student Recreation Center. She also spent two years at Johnson Health as a certified nursing assistant.
At UNCW, Woodard was the vice president of the Graduate Athletic Training Association and served on the College of Health and Human Services Dean's Student Advisory Council.
Woodard earned her bachelor's degree in exercise science with a minor in psychology in 2022 before completing her master's degree in athletic training in 2024 from UNCW.
