Madeline Stablein enters her first year as an Athletic Trainer at the University of Mount Olive in 2023-24.
Stablein will oversee athletic training for the following programs this upcoming year: women's soccer, men's basketball, women's lacrosse, men's/women's tennis, and cheerleading.
Prior to UMO, she served two years as an Athletic Training Student at Mercyhurst, a Division II institution in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC). With the Lakers, Stablein evaluated athlete injuries and formulated treatment plans for several programs, including Division I women’s ice hockey, field hockey, women’s basketball, men’s wrestling, baseball, and women’s lacrosse. In 2022, she also developed off-season workouts for the women’s soccer program and assisted the Mercyhurst Athletic Training staff with medical coverage at the PSAC Indoor Track & Field Championship.
In the summer of 2022, Stablein assisted at Allegheny Health Network with a Sports Medicine Physician as an Athletic Training Student before working in the Iroquois School District with High School and Junior High Athletics in the fall.
At John Carroll, she served in the Athletic Department as an Athletic Training Student Aide while also working in the Recreational Department as a Facility Attendant.
Stablein earned her bachelor’s degree in exercise science with a minor in psychology from John Carroll University in 2021 and completed her master’s degree in athletic training from Mercyhurst University in 2023.
