Booster/Representative of Athletics
Interest
An individual who has...
- made financial contributions to University of Mount Olive
athletics department or the Trojan Booster Club
- in some manner, promoted the athletics program at University of
Mount Olive
- been involved with promoting University of Mount Olive's
athletics program
Once an individual has been identified as a
booster/representative of athletics interests, the individual
retains that identity indefinitely.
Contact
Any face-to-face encounter between a prospect or the prospect's
parents or legal guardian(s) and an institutional staff member or
athletics representative during which any dialogue occurs in excess
of an exchange of a greeting.
Prospect/Prospective Student-Athlete (PSA)
A student who has started classes for the ninth grade. A younger
student becomes a "prospect" when the student receives any benefits
from the institution that it does not provide to prospective
students generally.
Recruiting
Any solicitation of a prospect or the prospect's family by an
institutional staff member or a representative of the instituion's
athletics interests for the purpose of securing the prospect's
enrollment at the instituion and/or participation in the athletics
program. Includes, but not limited to:
- providing transportation
- entertaining on campus
- initiatin telephone contact
- visiting the prospect or his/her family
- issuing a National Letter of Intent or written offer of
athletic aid.
