SUMTER, S.C. (April 26) – Despite claiming the doubles point, the No. 7 seeded Trojans were eliminated in the first round of the Conference Carolinas Championship after suffering a 4-1 loss against No. 6 Young Harris at the Palmetto Tennis Center on Friday.

With the loss, the University of Mount Olive women's tennis team finished the 2024 season with an 8-11 overall record in its first season under head coach Jake McCartney. Meanwhile, Young Harris improves to 12-11 this season and advances to the quarterfinals to face No. 3 Barton.

In the doubles session, the Trojans captured an early 1-0 advantage after earning a pair of wins at the first and third doubles. Senior Jessica Aylward and freshman Simone Szovan delivered a 7-5 victory over Meghna Mallath and Emily Bush in the first slot.
