GREENVILLE, S.C. (Dec. 3) – With a pair of ranked victories over the weekend, University of Mount Olive men's wrestling freshman Brent Nicolosi was voted the Conference Carolinas Wrestler of the Week by the league office on Tuesday afternoon.

A native of Haverhill, Massachusetts, Nicolosi continued his stellar first collegiate season with the Trojans after going 3-0 in the 165-weight class at the Carolina Clash. On Sunday, he received a forfeit in the opening dual as the Trojans rolled to a 45-9 win over Salem. Against No. 15 Lander, he upset No. 1 ranked and defending national champion David Hunsberger via a 6-5 decision. In the following dual, Nicolosi upended No. 6 ranked Guy Deleonardis of Glenville State by a 2-1 decision to complete an undefeated performance.

Nicolosi garners the accolade for a consecutive week and boasts an impressive 14-2 record through the opening month of the 2024-25 campaign.

The Trojans return to Kornegay Arena on Sunday, Dec. 8, for the Trojan Duals set to start at 1 p.m.
