BRISTOL, Tenn. (April 11) – The University of Mount Olive men's tennis team recorded a 4-1 victory at King after claiming the doubles point and four singles matches in Conference Carolinas play on Tuesday afternoon.
With the win, the Trojans improve to 10-7 this season behind a 4-2 record in conference action. Mount Olive remains in the top half of the conference standings with three matches left in the regular season. Meanwhile, the Tornado drops to 2-13 overall with a 0-9 mark in league play.

Israel Rodriguez Rojas earned a 6-2 win in the first position over Rhys Halcrow and Andre Schiabel. At second doubles, juniors
Adam Ibrahim and
Diego Ortega Cadahia were dealt a 7-5 loss by Alex Sodre and Mat Vieira, while sophomore
Elios Briand and freshman
Bram Poel cruised to a 6-0 victory against Kyle Robinson and Mason Hunt in the third slot.
The Trojans sealed the win after capturing four singles matches to register the conference win over King. de Oliveira earned his sixth-straight win at the first slot with a 6-4, 6-4 victory over Sodre. At the second singles, Ibrahim delivered a straight-sets victory by a 7-6 (7-0), 6-3 margin versus Halcrow. Rodriguez Rojas suffered a 3-6, 6-0, 6-1 loss in the third position to Schiabel before Ortega Cadahia secured the match with a 6-0, 6-0 win against Hunt in the sixth slot. The fourth and fifth singles contests went unfinished after the Trojans recorded a 4-1 win.
Mount Olive continues Conference Carolinas play, tomorrow, Wednesday, April 12, when it travels to face Lees-McRae in dual match action, starting at 1 p.m.
