Mount Olive, N.C. - The University of Mount Olive softball team dropped a pair of games at Nancy Chapman Cassell Field Friday afternoon. UMO now moves to 32-10, 11-5 on the season.
GAME ONE INFORMATION
The opening game had UMO take an early 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first off a
Cassandra Lassiter RBI-single.
Mount Olive held King hitless through the first five innings. The sixth proved to be the turning point as four batters in the Tornado belted a three-run home run and took the lead 3-2.
KU added an insurance run in the seventh and took the 4-2 win.
GAME TWO INFORMATION
Mount Olive started game two with the early momentum once again, taking a 2-0 lead after the second. King tie the contest in the top of the third, however UMO regained the advantage with another two-run inning in the bottom of the third.
Mount Olive appeared to have the game well in hand holding a 5-2 lead after the fourth.
The wheels came off for the Trojans in the sixth as King scored four runs and defeated UMO 6-5 in game two.

The Trojans remain at home to take on Lees-McRae tomorrow Saturday, April 9, at 12 p.m.
