Duncan, S.C. --- The University of Mount Olive softball team fell in the first round of the Conference Carolinas Softball Championship Thursday night at Tyger River Park. UMO now drops into the loser's bracket and faces elimination Friday afternoon.
GAME INFORMATION
The opening game had UMO and UNCP square at one after the first.
UNC Pembroke scored the first run on a double play in the top of the inning and Mount Olive responded with a sacrifice fly by Kylie Emaneule in the bottom half.
Mount Olive was then held to just three hits for the remainder of he game as the Braves plated seven more runs and took the first round win.Â

Emanuele led the team with one RBI at the plate.
Hannah Killough (19-9) suffered the loss.
