MOUNT OLIVE, North Carolina - The University of Mount Olive women's tennis team defeated King University 7-0 in a conference matchup Friday afternoon in Mount Olive, N.C.
MATCH INFORMATION
The Trojans started the matchup with two automatic singles wins. UMO led the doubles round winning doubles 1 and 2 to earn the doubles point. UMO then went 4-0 in the singles matches taking a 7-0 victory. No. 1 doubles Nele Weber/Liza Voloshyna and No. 2 doubles Ingrid Montserrat/Deike Schipper both won their matches 6-2.
INSIDE THE RESULTS
Mount Olive Ingrid Montserrat in No. 1 singles battled it out and took the win (6-2,6-2) for the first singles point. Liza Voloshyna defeated the No. 2 singles match (6-1,6-2) for the second singles point. Deike Schipper in No. 4 singles took the win 6-4 6-2 and No. 3 Ece Yuksel took the win in a 8-game pro-set 8-2 to pick up the last singles point.
