Men's Tennis Defeats King University 6-1

MOUNT OLIVE, North Carolina - The University of Mount Olive men's tennis team defeated King University 6-1 in a conference matchup Friday afternoon in Mount Olive, N.C.

MATCH INFORMATION
The Trojans dominated the doubles play by winning all three match-ups, earning the doubles point.
UMO then went 5-1 in singles to finish the match with an overall score of 6-1. 

INSIDE THE RESULTS 
No.1 doubles Armando Ferreira/Guilherme Zotin and No.2 Gregory Normand/Elios Briand made quick work of their opponents winning 6-2 to earn the doubles point. No. 3 doubles Diego Ortega/Adam Ibrahim won their match 6-1.

In singles action UMO won the No. 1, 3, 4, 5 and 6 matches while King took the win at No. 2 singles. 
No. 4 Israel Rojas and Nr. 6 Gregory Normand dominated their singles matches (6-0,6-1 and 6-0,6-0). No. 3 Guilherme Zotin and No. 5 Aditya Balda also defeated the opponents from King University (6-4, 7-5 and 6-4, 6-2). No 1 Armando Ferreira fought hard and won the singles match in three sets (5-7, 6-1, 6-2). Lastly, King took the win in No. 2 singles against the Trojan Adam Ibrahim (6-1, 3-6, 10-5).

The Trojans will be back in action on April 2nd against Lees-McRae in Mount Olive, N.C. at 12 P.M.
