Mount Olive, N.C. --- The University of Mount Olive wrestling went 1-1 in a tri-dual against Limestone University and Patrick Henry Community College Tuesday night inside Kornegay Arena. UMO now goes to 5-6 on the season. The matches also marked the first time thr Trojans have been in action since December 12, due to Covid postponing seven straight duals.
INSIDE THE RESULTS
Mount Olive began the day against Patrick Henry, taking down the Patriots 54-6 as PHCC surrendered all but one match to the Trojans by forfeit. UMO completed the day against Limestone, falling 28-15 splitting the duals 1-1.
The Trojans saw strong performances from Jake Nicolosi (Dec 8-3), and Mike Vernagallo (MD inj) and Jonathan Clack (Fall 2:07) as all three Trojans all recorded wins for UMO.
Mount olive on the day recorded one decisions, one falls, and victory via medical forfeit.
