INSIDE THE RESULTS
The match started at the 125 weight class and saw freshman Lens Mathurin fall via tech fall 16-0. The Trojans then found a little fire as Hayden Waddell defeated Elijah Gray 6-0 to bring the score to 5-3. Seth Thomas' win at 141 put UMO in the lead and Dylan Wilman extended the cushion to 9-5 after a 7-4 decision over Chadler Smalley.
Mount Olive, however, felt the lead slip away as Lander took the next three matches and regained the lead 17-9. Bryan Aragao won the 184 match to stop the run by the Bearcats but the lead was too great to overcome as LU took the final two matches and won the dual 29-12.
