Greenwood, S.C. --- The University of Mount Olive wrestling fell to Lander University 35-9 Tuesday night in a South Atlantic Conference Carolinas action. UMO now goes to 1-1 on the season.
INSIDE THE RESULTS
The match started at the 125 weight class and Mount Olive fell behind early via major decision 14-1. The Trojans continued to slip as they lost the next three matches and trailed 16-0. UMO was able to snag a decision win at 157 with Jake Nicolosi, defeating Bryson Ethington 3-2.
Mount Olive dropped the next three matches at 165 (11-0), 174 (4-0), and 184 (fall) before recovering at 197. Jonathan Clark picked up his second win of the conference season and six points via pin, only 37 seconds into the match.
UMO fell at 285 and lost the dual 35-9.
