Trojans Fall To Tornado 29-17

MOUNT OLIVE, North Carolina - The University of Mount Olive wrestling team fell to the Tornado of King University Sunday afternoon inside Kornegay Arena. Mount Olive had victories via tech fall, decision, and forfeit in the match.

INSIDE THE RESULTS
The match started at the 165 weight class and Mount Olive took an early lead as Nick Richardson defeated Elijah Davis via decision 3-2 and the Trojans had a 3-0 lead. The Tornado went onto win the next two matches to take their first lead of the match 11-3. Ross Sealby then won by forfeit and helped bring the deficit down to two. Ogden Atwood kept the momentum going for the green and black winning in the heavyweight division via decision 5-2 over Cade Riley and Mount Olive took a small 12-11 lead. King then dragged the wind out of the Trojans sails as they took the next weight classes of 125, 133, 141, and 149 taking a 29-12 lead in the match score. 

Drew Wiechers in the final match of the night ended the contest on a high note winning via tech fall over Alex Mercado 16-1, as Mount Olive fell 29-17 to the Tornado.
