MOUNT OLIVE, North Carolina - The University of Mount Olive wrestling team fell in their first home dual of the new year to the Cobras of Coker University Friday afternoon inside Kornegay Arena. Mount Olive had victories via pinfall and decision in the match.
INSIDE THE RESULTS
The match started at the 165 weight class and Mount Olive fell behind from the beginning dropping the match by pinfall. The Cobras went onto win the next two matches to take a 16-0 lead. Ross Sealby stopped the momentum for a moment pinning David Alverez 1:09 into the first period and helped bring the deficit down to ten. The Cobras took the next five weight classes of 285, 125, 133, 141, and 149 taking a 38-6 lead in the match score.
Drew Wiechers in the final match of the night ended the contest on a high note winning via decision as Mount Olive fell 38-9 to the Cobras.
