MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. - The No. 22 University of Mount Olive men's and No. 22 women's track and field teams had 11 student-athletes selected to the 2019 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field National Championship, it was announced on Tuesday. The championship will take place May 23-25 at Javelina Stadium in Kingsville, Texas. The eleven selections mark a new record number of Trojans selected to compete at the National Championship in program history.
Texas A&M Kingsville University will serve as the host of the championships.
For Hanle, Fisher, Leppelsack, Middlebrooks, and Shannon this with be their second National Championship of the 2019 year as the Trojans competed at the 2019 NCAA DII Indoor Track and Field Championships in March. All Five Trojans walked away with an All-American in their respective races.
UMO will have a few first time participants to a national championship event as Sven Bulik, Candise Lockett, and Zach Teeple will represent the green and white for the first time in their Trojan careers.
Mount Olive will send the following Trojans to the National Championships in their respective events:

Zach Teeple - Javelin
