About Pope Wellness Center
The Pope Wellness Center is a 23,500 square-foot facility designed to meet the health and wellness needs of the UMO community, as well as Eastern North Carolina. The Center features state-of-the-art fitness equipment, complete with treadmills, elliptical machines, free weights, and more. A separate yoga/aerobics room has wall-to-wall mirrors and provides space for individual use and classroom instruction. A regulation-size basketball court within the Center can be subdivided into two smaller courts for other play, such as volleyball. Additional conveniences include locker rooms, showers, and dressing areas. Health services, student counseling, and UMO Sports Medicine also reside inside Pope Wellness Center. The Pope Wellness Center is free for all students to use.
