Hanle Earns USTFCCCA Division II National Athlete Of The Week

Sophomore, Leah Hanle, of Lichtenstein, Germany, was named the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division II National Athlete of the Week.

Hanle, who also earned Conference Carolinas Women's Runner of the Week laurels, set a new school record in the women's 6k with a third place finish in the season opening race at the Furman Invitational. Hanle broke her own school record, with a time of 20:49.97 that shaved 30 seconds off her previous time at Furman Invitational. The sophomore finished ahead of runners from Division I programs such as Furman and Clemson.
