FIRST HALF

  • Wingate recorded the first goal of the game just 54 seconds into the opening half on an unassisted goal by Paulena Dempsey.
  • The Bulldogs followed up the opening goal with three more scores to push Wingate's lead to 4-0 with 16:17 left in the half.
  • Junior Micheala Ciciarelli tallied the first goal for the Trojans with 13:15 left on the clock in the first half.
  • Mount Olive and Wingate each traded goals for the final 13 minutes of the opening half, as the Bulldogs went to the break with a 6-3 lead.

SECOND HALF

  • Wingate's Kendall Wells scored first out of the half to increase Wingate's lead to 7-3 with 23:54 left in the half.
  • Ciciarelli scored back-to-back goals for UMO to cut the Bulldogs' lead to 7-5 with 21:40 remaining in the second half.
  • After the 2-0 run by Mount Olive, Wingate responded with three-straight goals to increase its advantage to 10-5.
  • The Trojans mounted a late 3-0 run in response to the Bulldogs' run to trim UMO's deficit to just two at 10-8 with 3:37 left to play.
