No. 17 Mount Olive Downs Flying Fleet 20-0

No. 17 University of Mount Olive defeated Erskine College 20-0 in Conference Carolinas women's lacrosse on senior day at Amon Field Saturday afternoon. Trojans put up 15 goals in the first half.

Mount Olive (11-5 Overall, 6-1 Conference Carolinas) wasted no time getting in the scorebook as Riann Daziel scored with 28:06 left in the first half. Daziel pushed across another goal with 26:52 left off an assist by Claire Wigler

The Trojans proceeded to put in 13 more goals in the half and give Mount Olive a 15 goal cushion. Erskine (0-8, 0-6) was not able to make a push for the lead in the second half and the Trojans added five more goals in the second half.

The second half was highlighted by Kriston Guerra scored her first goal as a Trojan off an assist from Wigler.

Daziel led the Trojans with four goals, five groundballs, and two caused turnovers. Caity Hamilton led the way at the draw with five draw controls and two groundballs. Alysha Kulka and Waigler both helped the offense with seven assists.

Mount Olive will host Lees-McRae on April 23 at 4 p.m. in the Trojans final home contest of the season.
