Havens Named To D2CCA All-Region First-Team

HIGH POINT, N.C. - The Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) announced the 2019 Southeast All-Region Team on Thursday afternoon and Mount Olive's Felecity Havens garnered first-team all-region honors for the second year in a row.

The senior from Lorain, Ohio, earned her second consecutive honor after posting a season marked with one record-breaking performance after another. Havens in her senior season set the program record for points scored in a game by an individual, points scored in a career and was the first women in UMO history to hit and surpass 2,000 career-points.

She was named the Conference Carolinas Women's Basketball Player of the Year for the second year in a row as well for her dominating performance on the court. Havens tallied two 40+ point games, including the new program record for points scored in a game with 49 against Francis Marion on Nov. 27, 2018. She put up 42 on Jan. 23, 2019, when the Trojans defeated the Saints of Limestone College, the first time since March 8, 2013, when UMO won 79-66 in overtime in the semifinals of the conference tournament.

Havens is a two-time USBWA National Player of the Week (Dec. 4, 2018, & Feb. 4, 2018), three-time First-Team All-Conference honoree (16-17, 17-18, & 18-19), and has garnered nearly a dozen Conference Player of the Week honors. This season alone, Havens has recorded twenty-one, 20+ point games, including two 40+ point games, and eight double-doubles. 

Last season, Havens earned First-Team All-Region Honors and later was announced as a D2CCA Third-Team All-American.

As a first-team selection, Havens is again eligible for All-American considerations.
