MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. - Mount Olive men's tennis swept the Monarchs of Methodist University 7-0 on Tuesday afternoon in nonconference action at the John Neal Walker Tennis Center in Mount Olive, N.C.

  • The Trojans swept the doubles point after going 3-0 to begin the match on a good note.

  • Armando Ferreira and Milosh Petrovic made quick work of their doubles match going 6-2 as the No. 1 pair, while Gustavo dos Santos and Juan Arbelaez went 6-2 at doubles No. 3.

  • Pablo Safont Ferrer and Gregory Normand played out their doubles match in the No. 2 slot to win 6-3.

  • The Trojans followed the doubles game by going 6-0 in singles and only dropped three sets in total.

  • Petrovic quickly picked up the second match point for the Trojans winning the No. 2 singles game 6-0, 6-0.

  • He was followed by Alex Meseguer Carce who defeated his opponent 6-3, 6-0 on court No. 6, and Ferreira clinched the match taking the No. 1 singles game 6-1, 6-1.

  • Singles games No. 3, 5, and 4 played on and the Trojans claimed all three despite each game going three sets.
