Cheeleaders Finish Third In Co-Ed Division At Clash Of The Carolinas

The Mount Olive College cheerleading squad finished third in the Co-Ed Division in the second annual Clash of the Carolinas Sunday at Gaffney, S.C. The competition was hosted by Limestone College.

Mount Olive compiled 165 points to finish 40 points ahead of fourth-place Belmont Abbey. Newberry edged out defending champion Limestone to win the Co-Ed Division and the Grand Championship.

The Trojans were one of three Conference Carolinas squads in the Co-Ed Division and among four overall competing in the Clash of the Carolinas. Fellow conference member Queens finished second behind Lander in the All-Girl Division.
